Acorns - Goathland  North Yorkshire


Goathland Village

The village better known as Aidensfield in TV's Heartbeat series has a station on the North
Moors Steam Railway. Boarding the NYMR at the village station you can travel to either
Grosmont to view engine sheds and the rail trail or take a panoramic journey to the market
town of Pickering

Goathland has excellent pubs and resturants as well as tea rooms, shops & a post office.
The village is an excellent base for those wishing to tour the Heritage Coastline and
National Park.

There are delightful moorland walks in every direction.

 

North Yorkshire Moors & Coast

The old fising port of Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are both less than 10 miles away, and Castle
Howard, Scarborough and York are all less than an hour.
